WHEN MIMOSA BLOOMS

When mimosa blooms

Birds occupy a strange pose,

they nest on the curved branch,

in the early morning when the sun lures.

all yellow, no pink

bumblebees drive down the pistil,

buzzing around and all they can be.

Bent flower clusters,

always cheerful, never perceptible,

and they are all ready for festivals,

parades large and small.
